Summary

This state of the art presents techniques for separating solid residues and deals with the recovery of metals from liquids using liquid-solid, liquid-liquid, membrane and biological transfer processes. The third part is devoted to thermal treatments, while the fourth develops techniques for treating gaseous effluents. The final section looks at methods for recovering metals from multi-element waste such as steel mill dust, hydroxide sludge, etc.
