Ecodesign for recycling - Inventory of recommendations & Identification of priority projects

Objectives

As part of the development of the circular economy, ambitious regulatory and industrial targets are expected in terms of waste recycling. However, these targets will often be difficult to achieve in the short and medium term because products are currently designed primarily to meet technical specifications and optimise costs, with very little thought given to facilitating recycling.
The aim of this project is therefore to analyse current and planned regulations on eco-design requirements, and more specifically on design for recycling, and to review the recommendations available to manufacturers for eco-design that takes into account the recyclability and recycling of products at the end of their life.
