Déchets et économie circulaire. Conditions d'intégration pour une valorisation en filières industrielles. Ouvrage TEC&DOC LAVOISIER

Summary

The concept of the circular economy has come to the fore in the last ten years or so, as awareness of the non-renewable nature of our resources has grown. As part of this process, this book proposes an approach that seeks new ways of recovering waste and end-of-life products, with the aim of integrating them as resources into industrial activities.

The first part traces the development of environmental waste management policy, which has gradually led to the promotion of the circular economy. It presents an iterative approach to researching the eligibility of waste in terms of the criteria for its integration into industrial processes. In addition, readers can access an online database on the characterisation of waste with a view to its recovery.

The second part, consisting of structured case studies, provides an overview of the technical, regulatory and environmental requirements for waste recovery in various sectors: glass, plastics, cement, the wood industry, solvent regeneration, road techniques and methanisation.

Thanks to its methodological and practical contributions, this book is aimed at the various players involved in waste recovery: local authorities and industrialists who hold waste and/or are responsible for their end-of-life products, service providers, as well as teachers and students on specialised environmental courses.
