Ecological risk assessment (ERA) methods make it possible to assess environmental impact on a local scale, but they do not take into account the environmental impact observed on a more global scale. LCA-type methods, on the other hand, assess global impacts but often fail to assess local impacts. This raises the following questions: - How can the results obtained from ERA studies be integrated into LCAs? - How can all the LCA and ERA results be considered at the same time in order to compare them and choose the best from an environmental point of view? The aim of this study is to provide some answers to these questions, and to develop perspectives and specifications for an INTEGRATED environmental impact assessment methodology. The case of mineral residue recovery processes is used as a concrete basis for this work.
