Limits to biogas technology: prospective for the r&d

Summary

Among the alternatives to fossil fuels, biogas is now seen as a very interesting contribution that deserves to be developed on a large scale, especially as it can be produced from our waste. RECORD wanted to take a forward-looking approach to the biogas sector, with a view to drawing up R&D prospects by identifying the obstacles to development in terms of research (scientific and technical barriers). This work (a literature review supplemented by a survey of the various players and stakeholders in the sector) will enable us to identify the major challenges facing the sector, the main research topics to be developed in the coming years, and the skills to be mobilised in the field.
