This work begins with a review of the various gasification technologies applied to waste treatment. The composition of the syngas produced, according to the different modes of operation of the gasifiers, is studied. The report then presents a series of data sheets on the pollutants present in syngas. The minority compounds, both gaseous and particulate pollutants, are detailed, along with their concentrations in the case of gasification. Finally, the various systems for removing pollutants in a reducing environment, either currently available or under development, are presented in relation to their performance and the thresholds to be reached before syngas can be recovered. This section identifies the key positions, the blocking points and the areas of research related to these technologies.
